About Blood Disorders

This refers to diseases that affect the function and quantity of RBC, WBC and platelets.  All three are formed in the bone marrow,. This is the soft tissue that resides within the bone. The function of RBC is to transport oxygen to the body’s organs and tissues. WBC is responsible for fighting off infections and blood disorders disrupt the formation and function of one or more of these cells.

Types

Red Blood Cell Disorders

These are disorders that affect the RBC inside the body. The cells are responsible for carrying oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body.  Here are some of the most common diseases in this category.

Anemia

This is a condition where there is a lack of mineral iron. The body needs to produce the protein hemoglobin, which is responsible for the blood’s oxygen-carrying capacity.   The most common disorder in this category is iron deficiency anemia.  Iron deficiency happens when the body does not have enough iron stores. Patients with iron deficiency anemia feel tired and always short of breath, as there are not enough cells transporting oxygen.  It is usually treated with iron supplements.  Another disorder is pernicious anemia and is an autoimmune condition wherein the body is unable to absorb the right amounts of vitamin b-12 resulting to a low number of RBC.  Aplastic anemia is a rare but serious condition where the bone marrow stops manufacturing enough new cells. It may occur suddenly or slowly and at any age.  Autoimmune hemolytic anemia causes the immune system to destroy your RBC quicker than the body can replace them.

White Blood Cell Disorders

WBC or leucocytes assist in defending the body from infection and foreign invaders. They can affect the body’s immune response and the body’s ability to ward off infection. The disorders affect both children and adults.  For example, lymphoma, which is a kind of cancer that occurs in the lymphatic system of the body. The WBC change and go haywire. The two kinds of lymphomas are Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  Another disorder is leukemia that you should know about. This is a type of cancer wherein cancerous WBC multiplies within the bone marrow.  It can either be acute or chronic in nature. Lastly, we have myelodysplastic syndrome.  This is a condition that affects the health of the bone marrow.  It results in the production of too many immature cells, known as blasts. These cells and increase and multiply to edge out the mature and healthy cells. The condition can progress slowly or quite fast and can sometimes lead to leukemia.

Platelet Disorders

Platelets are considered first responder cells if you have an injury such as a wound or a cut. The collect at the site of the injury and establishes a temporary plug in order to help prevent blood loss.  Patients with platelet disorders can have one of three abnormalities:

Not enough platelets – Too few platelets is quite dangerous as even a small cut can result to a significant amount of loss.

Too much platelet – Too many platelets means there is a propensity for clots to form that can result in blockage of a major artery and cause a heart attack or stroke.

Platelets that incorrectly clot – At times, deformed platelets cannot stick to other cells or the walls of the vessels and therefore cannot clot properly. This can result to a significant loss of blood.

Disorders of the platelets are primarily inherited meaning they are from a genetic cause and this includes:

Hemophilia – This is probably the most well-known blood clotting disorder and occurs almost exclusively in males. Its most serious complication is excessive and prolonged bleeding that can happen either outside or within the body.

Primary Thrombocytopenia – It is a rare disorder that can result in increased clotting. It puts patients at higher risk for stroke and heart attack and happens when the marrow produces too much platelets.

Blood Builder Sound Therapy

The body creates about two million new RBC every second and these circulate the body for 120 days. The liver breaks them down into their original elements. Our Blood builder protocol combines both vein and oxygen support along with the primary sound frequency codes that supports the bone marrow, bone support, lymph, spleen and thymus to  create an excellent program to help patients with blood disorder problems.  Our sound therapy works by tuning the body’s organs to the right frequencies in order to help restore balance and healing.
